The Chief Medical Director (CMD) Dr Lawal Abolore of Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba may have concluded plans to loot some funds belonging to staffers as he goes on retirement this year.

The CMD who has gotten salaries from the Federal Government according to our source has refused to direct the finance department to begin payment, thereby denying them their salaries since July, while other Federal medical workers in various hospitals have received their alert since August 25th, despite his promise to pay them by August. When contacted by some staff according to our source, he stated that “there is no money”. We gathered that he plans to pay part of the money by October ending while carting away some share of it in conjunction with the director of administration, Alhaji Oyetola who will be retiring same time with him.
In a mysterious manner, we reliable gathered that he went to the hospital mosque for Jumat service on the third Friday of August and got the shocker of his life. When he left the mosque and came out to look for his leather slippers in where he normally keeps it; he could not find it. Despite searching for it in all the nooks and crannies of the hospital, it was not seen. With fear boldly written on his face, he called his driver to drive close to the mosque who now drove him away barefooted.
Meanwhile the lives of Nigerians may be endangered by the Ebola Virus as the World Health Organisation and the UN counterpart have been having series of meeting in the hospital with armed policemen on guard, as they plan to set up an isolation centre within the hospital which is just 50 meters from the market.
We gathered that the Minister of Health, Prof. Chukwu Onyebuchi has given the go ahead but the hospital management have refused to have such sensitive centre set up in the hospital.
