Controversies have stirred up on various social media platforms most especially on Twitter as controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo took to her Twitter page to ask popular award-winning Nigerian artiste, Davido on the #AskDavido trend questions that left Nigerians in great awe.
In a video in which she spoke mostly in Yoruba language when addressing her questions and urged that Davido’s non- Yoruba fans should look for translators, Kemi threw it all out as she bombarded the OBO Master with what could be termed as mind-blowing hardcore questions from an investigative journalist as she tweeted “#Askdavido @iam_Davido pls answer all my questions plus this one. Is it true that Deji’s success in the oil & gas biz came from IBB’s oil blocks gifts? Was it obtained with good faith like Mrs Folorunso @alakijaofficial a dedicated clothes maker for late Mariam who clarified hers?
She didn’t hesitate to ask questions regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of Davido’s friends, Tagbo and DJ Olu, allegedly accusing him of using them for ritual because shortly after their death came the rise of the Thirty Billion Gang that became his mantra. Throwing caution to the wind she went further to ask if Davido’s late mother Veronica was also used for ritual by Davido’s father Chief Deji Adeleke as she claims that she used to speak very often to the mother before they returned to Nigeria being a close friend of the family but after their arrival, Davido’s mother was restricted from going or having any interactions outside their home till she passed on.
Consequently, she also alleged that Davido harassed her and she demands an apology from him, that statement kept many Twitter users in dismay as they couldn’t fathom how Davido could have harassed Aunty Kemi as she is fondly called. In the light of that, she disclosed that Davido has a child he neglected in Ibadan and now he is going behind her back to ask about the welfare of the child after messing up with the paternity test in order not to be proven as the father of the child.
Despite the huge allegations laid against Davido who is billed to perform at the 02 Arena in London on Sunday 27 January 2019, his only response to Kemi Olunloyo’s tweets was “werey” which simply means “Mad or Crazy” in Yoruba language.
