Dame Edith Okowa, wife to Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Delta PDP Governorship Candidate on Monday paid a visit to various queens in different kingdom that made up Delta North to solicit support for her husband gubernatorial ambition in the February 28th general elections.
She was honoured by royal blessings from all the queens who also prayed for President Jonathan and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to succeed in their aspirations.
Speaking about her husband government come 2015 if elected as governor; she stated that her husband government will be Delta beyond tribe who will know no Urhobo, no Ijaw, no Itsekiri, no Isoko and no Anioma, but Deltans
She also promise the queens that her husband government will partner with women as they are the bedrock of the society and behind every successful nation there is a woman. She assured them that women will be remembered in Okowa’s government if he is elected, and she will see to it.
She pleaded with the queens to enlighten their people in order to collect their permanent voters card, as their right to vote in change come 2015 lies in the card.
