A major crisis may be looming in Kogi state House of Assembly few months after the compulsion of Rt Honourable Ahmed Umar Imam to resign from his position as the Speaker, Kogi State house of Assembly. Sources in Lugard House hinted that the incumbent Speaker, Hon Mathew Kalawole is about to suffer similar fate because Governor Yahaya Bello is still not comfortable with the current Speaker escalated shady deals.

The Governor according to an impeccable source is shopping for Hon. Idris Ndako, Member Representing Lokoja 2 Constituency in the State House of Assembly as the new Speaker.

Hon Ndako our sources added has since concluded all arrangement to defect to the All Progressive Congress (APC)

“I can confirm to you that the Member Representing Lokoja 2 State Constituency, Hon Ndako will soon defect to the ruling party. We are aware that the Chief of Staff gave him assurance anointing him as the next heir to the of the Speakership throne as formulated by Bello.

“The crisis of supremacy between Onoja and the SSG, Mrs Folashade has been resolved as she agreed to take directives from the controversial Chief of Staff ”

As a result of the intervention by the Governor, our source further revealed that Governor Bello decided to compensate the people of Lokoja Local Government:

“You know the current Speaker and the Secretary to the state Government, Mrs Folashade come from the same constituency, Kabba/ Bunu, therefore  to appease the people of Lokoja, Prince Kolawole have to go Mr Onoja was quoted” our source further revealed.

Another source close to the Assembly  said  that it will be a serious tragedy if Hon Idris Ndako defect to the ruling APC, because the evil political strategy coined “used and dump” being displayed by the Governor will still catch up with Idris.

Another member of the State House of Assembly who spoke with this source under the condition of anonymity maintained that the plans to replace Prince Kalawole may not be unconnected with the issue of the Two Hundred Million Naira Greek gift donated to the Honourable members by Governor Yahaya Bello.

The Member who belong to Governor Yahaya Bello’s yeomen in the assembly revealed further saying “You are aware that Governor Bello seek  for the House approval to obtain loan of Ten Billion Naira (N10 billion), the first assignment Prince Kolawole performed on resumption as Speaker was to perfect and conclude all fraudulent arrangements for the Governor to obtain the loan.

“As am talking to you, Governor Bello has received the loan out of which the sum of N200 Million was diverted as an appreciation to be shared by Assembly Members. To be precise, Prince Kalawole was given the money to share among the members. Instead of releasing the N200 million, he pocketed N100 million and released N100 million to his fellow legislators. He immediately flew out of the country to London in celebration of the loot “.

According to the lawmaker source, the subject matter is one among many other reasons why Governor Bello is desperate to replace Prince Kolawole with Rt Hon. Ndako who the member described as suffering from educational deficiency and can be easily used and dumped by Governor Yahaya Bello.

Hon Idris Ndako according to one of his former aide was said to have since received his N10 Million mobilization allowance ahead of his defection.

Efforts to hear Hon Idris Ndako’s side of the story proved abortive as he refused to pick numerous phone calls put across.
