The Ministerial list of President Muhammadu Buhari which has drew wide condemnation following the inclusion of old cargos who looted the treasury in the past has another hole leaking in it, a petition by Transform Nigeria Citizens Initiative has uncovered.
Professor Anthony Gozie Anwuka, who was the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Imo State University (IMSU) and currently confirmed to be a Minster by the Nigerian Senate has been accused of stealing money during his tenure from 2004-2009.
In a report by the Imo State Government white paper on the report of the visitation panel into the affairs of IMSU during the five years leadership of Anwuka, he was clearly described as “a man economical with the truth”.
The ministerial designate misappropriated the sum of N3.8 million from the University purse. Not done with his diversion of funds, he also shameless converted the University brand new Mercedes Benz for his personal use, while acquiring mind blowing wealth as a VC. He built for himself eye popping mansions in Imo and Anambra States, with the mansion in Imo located on Akanachukwu Road and the Anambra own in Uli.
Anwuka who is an In-law to the Imo State Governor, Mr Rochas Okorocha was nominated for the slot of the state.
