The Nigerian Senate has stepped down confirmation of twenty seven Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC) submitted two weeks by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Senators refused to confirm them as protest against the President for not sacking the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, whom they refused to confirm on two occasion.
The rejection of the nominees was moved by highly corrupt Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, who has been wailing since the commission sealed off the N10 billion Guinea House in Lagos which he fraudulently bought from the Delta State Government in 2014 for a meager sum of N650 million.
Secret Reporters gathered that the charge and bail lawyer now turned Senator met with some of his colleagues undergoing mental and emotional torture from EFCC probe, where he tabled down his own woes before them. “Imagine that small boy sealing off a building that I have spent over N2 billion on? We have to teach the President a lesson of his life to know that we are not his play toys that he can use EFCC to hunt. Distinguished, we won’t confirm any of his nominees again until he tells EFCC to back off from us”, he allegedly said according to our source.
The anti graft agencies sealed off the Guinea House last week Friday.
