Reports available on our news desk are that, Amos Itiwhe, who is a member in Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), has threatened to kill the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Chairman in Ughelli.
We gathered that, the issue arose from the use of NBA sticker, when a certain boy was driving along Dortie Street in Ughelli.
However, he was accosted by a lawyer who asked him to remove the sticker since he is not a lawyer but the boy refused and the lawyer thereafter left.
A call was placed across to Hon Amos Itiwhe by the said boy, where Itiwhe ordered armed men to the venue of the altercation, There was sporadic shooting in the air saying, they want to kill the said lawyer.Sources at the venue informed the lawyer about their plans and he fled his home.
Not satisfied, Itiwhe we gathered, went to the office of the NBA chairman Ughelli branch to insult and still threatened to assassinate him in the presence of other lawyers.
Findings reveal that, the NBA has resolved to deal with Amos Itiwhe and his boy, but however he has sent several persons to plead on his behalf.
This threat is coming few months after the death of the immediate past NBA chairman Ughelli, who was assassinated in his house last year.
