The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) is currently forcing staff in the hospital to send forth its former Chief Medical Director, Dr. Femi Olugbile who is now the permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Health.
According to a reliable source in the know, the hospital management have budgeted an outrageous sum of N2.5 million for the event. Grade Level 01 – 06 workers are to pay #500 while Grade Level 07 and above workers are to pay #2000. The sum of N1 million is budgeted as food, one soft drink and bottle water is to gulp N150,000, decoration and musician is to cost another N150,000, alcoholic and non alcoholic wine will swallow N300,000 while brandy and can beer goes for another N300,000.
In a fraudulent way to siphon the fund, the princely sum of N200,000 was put at N200, 000 when the venue of the event is the Medical Research Centre Hall, LASUTH, which is an enclosed place. Juice will be bought at for N50,000 while the notorious name, miscellaneous is placed at a N100,000.
The event which is billed for a thousand people has already attracted condemnation from majority of the staffs, who query why they should pay for such misadventure, instead of the hospital footing the bill.
We gathered that while some had already paid; others vow not to pay the money.
“Why can’t the management get the money from the hospital account? They want to rip the workers of their hard-earned money which is not even enough for them to spend”, a source asked
If u love your outgoing Director, pay for the event. Hospital Management doesn't have to foot the bill. "It's blessed to give than to receive."
The Chief Medical Director is only changing office & not leaving you completely. All staff members of the hospital should pay for the sendout. You should all be glad he's chosen from your hospital, & not from elsewhere. BE WISE!
