In the heat of the campaigns following the fast approaching 2019 general elections, political actors in the ever busy scene appear to be washing their dirty linen and spreading it to the full glare of the electorates.
Evelyn Oboro, a member of the House of Representatives representing Uvwie, Sapele and Okpe Federal Constituency and a Senatorial aspirant under the people Democratic Party has begun showing her true colours as one who maybe uncultured and arrogant.
This is as recent events in the state especially at a campaign held in Isiokolo in Ethiope East Local government of Delta State showed that the Senatorial aspirant wittingly snubbed the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kingsley Esiso on the campaign stage to the surprise of attendees and other dignitaries including the incumbent governor Ifeanyi Okowa who was in attendance for simply calling her our “wife”.
Information gathered by our reporter reveals that Esiso having introduced Mr Ben Igbakpa, an aspirant for the House of Representative and Evans Iwurie for House of Assembly, proceeded to introduce the overly pompous Senatorial aspirant. “May I introduce to you, our incoming Senator, our wife and sister” he said.
This statement immediately made the impious Evelyn angry causing her to reject the microphone from Mr Esiso in order to address the crowd demanding that she be reintroduced properly. This we gathered, caused rancour on the stage to the detriment of the crowd who have sacrificed their time and energy to stand under the scorching sun in loyalty to the party. It was also gathered that it took the pleas of those standing close to her before she accepted to collect the microphone to address the crowd.
According to reports, Mr Esiso was visibly angry as it was written all over his face that the action of snubbing him by Madam pompous was a big slap on his face and an insult to his person prompting him to ironically say “If we no vote for am wetin we gain”.
It would be recalled that Evelyn Oboro got married to Mr Love Ojakovo who hails from Ethiope East Local government area before they divorced which was the reason Mr Esiso called her “our wife”. She’s currently in a romantic relationship with one Festus Utuama, a cousin to the immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Amos Utuama. He divorced his beautiful wife to befriend Evelyn in order to gain access to her wealth, noted a source.
