DEVELOPING: SENATOR PETER NWAOBOSHI SLAMMED WITH TWO COUNT CHARGES OF MONEY LAUNDERING AND LOOTING

SecretReporters has obtained the court papers filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against Mr Peter Nwaoboshi, Senator representing Delta North in the Red Chambers.

According to the two count charges, prepared by Offem Uket and M.S Abubakar for the EFCC on the 17th of April, Nwaoboshi was sued alongside his two companies, used in carrying out the fraud, namely: Golden Touch Construction Projects Ltd and Suiming Electrical Limited.

The charge accused him of buying the Delta State Guinea House for the sum of N805 million when he knew that the sum of N322 million out of the purchase price transferred to Delta State Government from Suiming account was proceed of fraud and thus committed money laundering act.

The second charge read that Suiming on 14th May 2014 aided Nwaoboshi to commit money laundering act which is prohibited by law.

He will be having his day in court, where he’s likely to be jailed, according to SecretReporters sources in the commission.
