There is a slight drama in Delta State Polytechnic Oghara as the corrupt outgoing rector, Mrs Clara Sogbaike has refused to hand over power on the expiration of her tenure today, Secret Reporters has learnt
The Ag. Deputy Rector, Joseph Nana’s tenure has expired and cannot take over power as Ag. Rector. The only option is for Clara to hand over power to the Governing Council Chairman of the Polytechnic, Barr. Osawota K. Andy.
As at the time of filing in this report, Osawota Andy has vowed that Clara Sogbaike must hand over officially to him today or heavens will fall down. To Osawota, the school is his farm which he must cultivate.
A new rector in the person Prof. Emmanuel Apoyi Opujor has officially been appointed and announced Delta State Government today through the Secretary to the State Government, Festus Agas. He was appointed alongside others for Ogwashi Ukwu and Ozoro Polytechnics.
Before her removal, Clara we gathered appealed to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa to extend her tenure by two years to enable her complete some ongoing projects through which she has defrauded the school with, but the Governor refused, saying that someone else would continue from where she stopped.
