The wives of Governors in Nigeria have no constitutional duty to spend taxpayers money,as there’s no where in the 1999 constitution as amended, where Governors wives are allow to use local or state Government resources,especially as regards traveling abroad, but the squandering Kogi State Governor’s second wife is ready to go against the law.
You recall that the office of Kogi State Governor, Mrs Rashida Bello was allocated over N300 million this year budget as approved by the extended hands of Governor Yahaya Bello’s State House of Assembly.
Report reaching us revealed that the wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs Rashidat Bello has concluded plans to travel to Dubai with the twenty one wives of illegal Administrators and twenty one All Progressive Congress (APC) women leaders for another sojourn which our source said is another way of siphoning Paris- Club Money.
Sources from the office of Governor Bello who do not want their names on print hinted that over N500 million has been earmarked by the office of the wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs Rashidat Bello on this journey.
While Local Government Staff across the state are owed Salaries of over 18 months,the office of Mrs Rashidat is undertaking a fruitless journey that has no economic importance, which our source maintained that 95% of the expenses would be deducted from the Council allocation.
Our source further explained that Governor Yahaya Bello who boasted recently in his infamous video clips is hellbent on squandering Kogi taxpayers money without recourse to budgetary provision.
