Following the 30th Anniversary celebrations of the state, the Akwa Ibom State government has been accused of intellectual theft by one of the governor’s aide,Ini Edo,who is also a Nollywood star.

Secret Reporters gathered that the Aide had worked closely with two Tourism Consultants to plan an event titled IBOM FEST in December,2016(which did not eventually hold),but following the Reigners Bible Church collapse,it was botched.

Trouble started when the said consultants went ahead and sold the idea to the State govt ahead of the state’s anniversary celebrations and eloped with the money without her knowledge and she duly got them arrested by the police.

In a press release on a Facebook page with the name of the Nollywood star, the claim was denied saying the two consultants have been threatening her life and that of her family because they believe she had gotten money from investors and sponsors of the Ibom Fest which did not hold; a claim the actress denied.

Secret Reporters learnt from a reliable source that the said Press Release is facilitated by the state government in a bid to cover up and downplay the case as it’s embarrassing to the state following the success of the event named ORANGE SEPTEMBER.

Facebook users believe the post is from a fake account and that the actress main account does not carry such a post.

Efforts by our reporter to reach the Culture/Tourism and Information commissioners were not successful as they didn’t take their calls nor respond to the numerous text messages sent to their phones.

With no official word or press release by the government, vone is left to wonder if the said accusation is true as the arrested consultants worked in tandem with the state government to develop the Orange September idea which the actress now lays claim to.
