Secret Reporters
The Executive Secretary of the Delta State Small Medium Enterprises Development Agency, Mrs Shimite Bello may not come back to her position even though she’s seriously lobbying to be retained, this SecretReporters can authoritatively confirm, except stronger powers wields in.
Information gathering on her for over four months by SecretReporters has found a dent on her, following a panel set up on her by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
We gathered that a whopping sum of over N100 million which was part of money released for the agency to empower the small medium entrepreneurs was allegedly diverted by her. This diversion was discovered by her supervising ministry who quickly made a report to Okowa.
Sources disclosed that the governor who has warned his aides against abuse of office was seriously miffed and threatened to sack her. Shimite we gathered met the governor, crying and asking for forgiveness, when the report of the panel nailed her.
Close sources to her revealed to us that she had to meet the King of Emu Kingdom, HRM Paul Odilile,to confer her with a chieftancy title, which was given to her on April 21st as ‘Akpeli Ugo fufu’ which the governor did not attend. The chieftancy title insiders disclosed is to make the traditional stool continue to plead for leniency for her from the governor and consider her for appointment in his second term.
Why she was nailed…
Shimite Bello like many others before her who allegedly diverted public funds would have been left alone until she crossed the line of sticking with one person narrated close sources.
Mostly called ‘sabificate mama’, she’s alleged to be linked in unholy alliance to a sitting Senator of Delta extraction which didn’t go down well with her Commissioner benefactor, who decided to pull the plug off her. One of the very top Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executive is also alleged as dipping his hands in her cooking jar.
When contacted to get her response concerning the allegation, Mrs Shimite Bello simply replied “Rubbish” to the text message sent to her from our newsroom after several calls placed to her known phone line were not answered.
