N3.2 BILLION FINAL LOOTING BY GOVERNOR OBI AS HE TELLS LG CHAIRMEN NOT TO ASSUME OFFICE YET

As part of the last minute game by Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, to swell his various accounts before leaving office, sources have confided in Elombah.com of instructions given by Mr Obi to the newly elected local government elected Chairmen to wait till January 29th before their assumption of office.

The governor who we gathered has camped all the chairmen in hotels for days and incurring bills for the state took the decision to enable him pocket the January monthly allocation meant for the chairmen to begin work with. The monthly allocations which run into billions of Naira is expected to be diverted to the governor’s numerous business interest in and outside Nigeria.
According the last update on Federal Ministry of Finance website , the September budget for the twenty one local government in Anambra State is N3.2 billion, which obviously is the chunk of money that Mr Obi will be running away with.
According to other sources, the chairmen are not happy with the alpha and omega decision by the governor, but they are scared to act, since he practically ‘rigged’ them into their various positions, and will amount to biting the finger that fed them.
