Secret Reporters
Twelve serving Commissioners in Delta State Government will be thrown into the political labour market in few days from now, reliable sources in Government House has squealed to Secret Reporters.
This is coming on the heels of the just concluded Local Government election where the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s eyes became very clear that he has more political morons in his cabinets than performers, who only collects salaries but are political paperweight in their communities.
Those who will be given the boot include the Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Henry Sakpra, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dan Okenyi, as well as their counterparts in Ministries of Health, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Youth Development as well as Oghenekaro Ilolo who heads Urban Renewal.
According to our ever reliable sources, other names have also been penciled down for sack apart from the above listed ones. “Oga is only leaving Kingsley Emu, who is his boy. David Edevbie is also left off the hook as well the Commissioners for Works, Higher Education, Information, Basic Education and the man heading Energy and Power but the remaining ones have their fate hanging in the air.
Unless a miracle happens to stop it, the names of the sacked Commissioners will be announced this week. To stop unnecessary pressure and begging, we gathered that the Governor will be flying into Abuja tomorrow (Wednesday), while the names will be reeled out and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Festus Agas.
