The Delta State Government is not all shades of clean as dirty insider dealings continually plays out, SecretReporters can authoritatively reveal. Despite the hue and cry of ‘Ego Aria’, literally meaning ‘there is no money’, shouted by the number one man in the state; information reaching us authoritatively is that there is excess money going round the cabal.
One of those allegedly benefiting massively but indirectly from the Government is Nigeria’s former Minister of Information, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, competent sources within the Governor’s circle squealed to us.
Oyovbaire who’s the silent new political godfather of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is called ‘father of government (FOG)’ among the political appointees, with anyone seeking the quick ears of Okowa turning his home to the new political Mecca. We gathered that as part of his benefits for being a godfather, he was given slots to nominate into the government, but that’s not his break to this new millennium wealth. The Seventy Seven years old political don is also alleged to be behind some contractors, whom he uses to carry out over inflated jobs awarded to him.
Two companies were traced by this medium to him which he uses front to do the jobs. One of the companies is Wright Projects Nig. Ltd. Two jobs were awarded to him. One of the job is the construction of Onomigbo Street, Orerokpe in Okpe LGA for N242 million while another was the construction of Ejinyere/Orodje Streets, Orerokpe in same LGA for the staggering sum of N106 million.
Checks by our undercover contractors sent to the construction site revealed that the jobs were inflated by 65%, making it fraudulent.
