EDO SOUTH SETS TO RECALL SENATOR FOR NOMINATING HIS P.A AS NDDC REPRESENTATIVE

Secrets Reporters

The people of Edo South Senatorial District under the Civil Society groups and stakeholder has began the compilation of names to recall back the Senator representing them in the red chambers, Senator Ehigie Edobor Uzamere over what they termed non performance and nepotism.
In a letter seen by us written by their lawyer to the President, they noted that the person meant to represent the State in the NDDC is one Mr. Peter Enogieru who happened to be his personal assistant.

Another allegation leveled against him which they want to recall him for is that his tenure in the Senate has being marked with inconsistency, as he is noted to represent himself and not his district nor the state. They further noted that he has refused to give account of his stewardship to the people, even after being asked to do so using the Freedom of Information Act (FOI). His refusal we gathered led to a court case which was filed at the Federal High Court sitting in Benin. The court ruled that he give account of his stewardship, which the group stated has not been given by him. They also accuse him of not having a constituency office in Benin.
Other information at our disposal is that Uzamere attracted an NDDC project for the construction of Gapiona road G.R.A, an area which his house was situated and three years after the project was fully paid for, the contractors he introduced have abandoned the job. The transformer provided by the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) was placed in his house to serve him and few friends in the area.
