The newly selected Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu has made moves to m aking former President Olusegun Obasanjo reconsider his stance on distancing himself from the party’s activities.
One of such deft move was a closed door meeting held at Obasanjo Presidential home, the hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The meeting which lasted for over an hour we gathered is aimed at reconciling all the warring parties and bringing peace to the PDP
Journalists who flooded the hilltop mansion to get details of the news were unable to get any concrete information on what the duo discussed, apart from a statement by an Ogun PDP governorship aspirant, Jelili Amusan who told journalists that the meeting was part of the moves by the party to bring back all the members that have defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Our source however revealed to us that the former general stood his ground and insisted that Buruji Kashimu be removed as the South West chieftain. When asked if Mu’azu agreed to the request; our source replied that Buruji is as good as gone as the new Chairman who is believed to be loyal to Obasanjo will do his bidding
