JONATHAN SUCCUMBS TO AMAECHI AS HE ORDERS PROTECTION FOR HIS RALLIES

Apparently scared of the warning by the All Progressive Congress (APC) party resolve to protect themselves personally, since the government has failed to do so, the Inspector General of police, Muhammed Abubakar has ordered the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Mr Joseph Mbu to henceforth give cover to all rally organized by the pro-Amaechi group, beginning from today own, which is carried out by the Save Rivers Movement (SRM) at Bori-Ogoni.

The Chief of Staff at Government House , Port Harcourt, Chief Tony Okocha confirmed that today rally would be peaceful as the police has ensured maximum protection. “Arrangements are in top gear. We have just been reliably informed that the Rivers Commissioner of Police has directed the Area Commander in Bori to provide adequate security for the rally in Bori. Governor Amaechi also called the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar”, he said.
 Governor Amaechi had earlier vowed to continue with the rally today and ready to take all the bullet shots from the militants who had been hired to shoot at them.
The APC on Thursday has mandated all their members in the National Assembly to stop the passage of the budget and any bill presented by the President, until the crisis in Rivers State is stopped.
While the CP and his cronies shoot at Pro Amaechi rally, they had given cover to the ones organized by Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI) which is owned by Mr Nyesom Wike, the Minister of Education and the chief opposition in the State.
