It seems the gods of sense and remorse have knocked some of their portions into the heart of Sir Dr Nick Azinge, the immediate past Commissioner for Health in Delta State.
Do you remember the report made by Secret Reporters on him when he allegedly diverted the money meant for eye surgeries of the beneficiaries of the 05 initiative founded by the wife of the governor, Edith Okowa which caused uproar?
One of the affected beneficiaries was two years old Emmanuel Omonigho with left eye tumor who was denied surgery because of the Commissioner’s act.
Secret Reporters can report without contradiction that the parents of the beneficiary have received the sum of N250,000 Naira (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) from the Commissioner. And the father named Mr Elvis Omonigho insisted on getting the sum of N100,000 Naira (one hundred thousand naira) for transport to and fro Ibadan and for medications.
It was further discovered that the balance of N150,000 Naira (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand) will be paid to the doctors at UCH Ibadan for further treatment of the baby. A draft cheque was issued for such.
