CAPITAL THIEF: HOW FORMER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE MEMBER OLADIPUPO ADEBUTU USED A JAW-DROPPING N48 MILLION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BLOCK OF THREE CLASSROOMS IN JUST TWO SCHOOLS

Secret Reporters

The former representative of Ikenne/Shagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu, may just have proven that his main aim of contending to represent his people was to display his mastery in the act of looting and embezzlement of public funds in the guise of providing basic social amenities to the people of in his constituency.

This is as information made available to SecretReporters revealed that in 2018, the House member nominated a constituency project for the construction of a block of three classrooms in Obafemi Awolowo memorial Primary School Ikenne and St. Paul School Ijoku Sagamu respectively at a whopping sum of N48,000,000 million (Forty-Eight Million Naira).

A source who is part of the construction work revealed to our correspondent that both buildings will only consist of a skeletal structure and just a roof over it without any major finishing or provision of learning facilities in it with each costing a jaw-dropping N24,000,000 million each (Twenty Four Million).

However, a source who is an engineer opined that the amount budgeted for each project was a classic example of daylight robbery being carried out by Adebutu as the said amount is sufficient to construct an ultra-modern school containing more than six blocks with several classrooms in it.

It is imperative to note that both schools are still in dire need of more classrooms due to the limited number of primary schools in the area which has resulted in a large number of pupils in each classroom having barely enough chairs to sit on for effective learning.
