PDP CARTEL OF ELECTION RIGGERS: THE DANGEROUS MEN WHO RIGGED DELTA CENTRAL SENATORIAL ELECTION FOR AMORI

Chief Ighoyota Amori may have won the Delta Central Senatorial election which took him to the National Assembly, but the horror of his victory is beginning to play like an award winning blockbuster to Secrets Reporters newsroom.

The 2015 Senatorial election in the central was slugged out among the trio of Ighoyota Amori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege of Labor Party (LP) and Halims Agoda of the All Progressive Congress (APC). Prior to the election, the PDP candidate was roundly rejected by the Urhobos who preferred the LP candidate, Omo-Agege, not because he is the best but the Ovedje Ogboru factor of being the party guber candidate. The same Ogboru factor gave the late Senator Pius Ewherido victory in Delta Central and history was about to repeat itself, then the rigging machine was brought in.

Indeed, credible sources within the PDP at the ward level and adhoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confided in this medium that Omo-Agege may have won the election at the polls but somehow, Amori, a man whom the Urhobo have cursed and ostracized managed to subvert the will of the people and got himself declared by INEC and today he is representing the very people who do not want him at the hallowed chambers of the Nigerian Senate. This is the story.

Like other senators, Amori has so far received a total sum of N59.8 million in less than 3 months. He got paid N10.0 million in June, N13.4 million in July and N36.4 million in August. Ordinarily, Chief Amori should be a happy man enjoying his loot of the alleged stolen mandate of his people, but that seems not to be the case.

From events monitored during the election, it was clear to all and sundry that Amori knew he couldn’t win a free and fair election, so he set out to win at all cost by rigging the election alleged a source. And that was exactly what happened. But how did Amori pull of this rigging operation successfully?

He found ready allies in his party who were determined to stop Omo-Agege for daring to quit the PDP after losing woefully at the primaries to incumbent Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, to team up with Chief Great Ogboru of Labour Party. To stop a repeat of the Ewherido drama, a meeting of PDP stakeholders was held in Warri on the Delta Central Senatorial election. Among those present was the former governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan where a decision to stop Omo-Agege at all cost was taken.

The game plan was to prevent voting wherever possible, hijack voting election material, write results and change results at collation points and ensure that Amori is declared.

Ughelli South result sheets and electoral materials were handed over Dr. Chris Oghenechovwe, who along with Chief Paul Oguma and Chief A.P Fovie wrote the Ughelli South results in favour of Amori.

Chief Tom Amioku’s country home at Egbo and Hon. Sheriff Oborovwori’s residence at Osubi were the venue used to write Okpe results. And when it became clear that the LP candidate was leading at the collation centre, Sheriff and Amioku brought the results they have written to replace the real results, claimed a source to us.

In Uvwie, the assignment to change the results was undertaken by Hon. Evelyn Oboro and Chief Ighrakpata, after Hon. Henry Baro, the ousted Chairman of Uvwie LGA was threatened by former Governor Uduaghan with removal and dissolution of his exco the following Monday if he did not withdraw support for Omo-Agege. With Baro out of the picture, Oboro and Ighrakpata had a field day in changing the results.

… The sordid rigging story will be continued as well as the spiritual plan to crumble the tribunal case.
