Exclusive: Call Logs Reveals Ejime As Alleged Gun Owner Waybilled Through Emmanuel of Sunny Eru Motors That Led To ASP Nuhu Usman Killing Oghenemine Ogidi

The tragic slaying of 28-year-old musician Oghenemine Ogidi in Effurun, Warri, Delta State, on 26 April 2026, has set tongues wagging and left many scratching their heads over the murky chain of events that sealed his fate, adding fuel to the already flaming calls to end Police brutality in Nigeria.

Call data records from that day paint a tightly packed timeline of movements, repeated communications, and coordinated exchanges that culminated in the afternoon incident around a parcel delivery arrangement.

Call Detail Records from his personal number, 2349112326520, and his mother’s number, 2349043502564, which he carried that day due to his own phone’s poor battery life while processing a waybill for a parcel pickup, offer a precise chronological map of every call he made and received in the hours leading up to his death.

The call log exclusively obtained by SecretsReporters with forensic audit carried out by our team of reporters revealed that starting from 00:07:50 and 00:07:54am on that day, two short incoming calls from blank numbers connected to his phone, 2349112326520, each lasting 10 and 14 seconds respectively, both registering on the AP, Warri-Sapele Road cell site. Activity then paused until the early morning hours when a burst of communication began.

Between 07:05:26 and 08:13:20, the most frequent contact on 2349112326520 was the number 2349137561010, saved on Truecaller as “Ejime.” Ogidi and Ejime exchanged at least nine rapid calls. Outgoing calls from Ogidi’s line to Ejime occurred at 07:06:21 (15 seconds), 07:08:57 (10 seconds), 07:14:11 (16 seconds), 07:14:44 (14 seconds), 08:02:37 (15 seconds), 08:05:42 (16 seconds), 08:08:10 (15 seconds), 08:11:45 (14 seconds), and 08:13:20 (16 seconds). An incoming call from Ejime arrived at 08:05:01 (29 seconds) from the T2681_8 Radio Road Warri site, while several others toggled between the IHS SITE, IHS_WAR_035 and unresolved locations.

Interspersed with the Ejime exchanges were three outgoing calls from 2349112326520 to 2347030552905 at 07:05:26 (15 seconds), 07:05:28 (14 seconds), and 08:03:08 (14 seconds). Additional blank incoming calls to Ogidi’s number occurred at 07:42:29 (14 seconds), 07:42:37 (10 seconds), and 08:03:02 (15 seconds), all landing on the AP, Warri-Sapele Road site.

However, by late morning the pattern changed. Records show that at 12:59:46, the number 2347060417298, identified on Truecaller as Desmond Ebiwoni, called 2349112326520 for seven seconds from an unresolved site. Exactly one minute later, at 13:00:13, another blank number rang his line for 23 seconds on the AP, Warri-Sapele Road cell.

Family sources told SecretsReporters that it was around 12:30 pm period that Ogidi left home to collect a parcel and began using his mother’s more reliable phone, 2349043502564.

From 13:19:17 onwards, the mother’s line, 2349043502564, became the primary device. A series of very short or zero-duration connections from blank entries and short codes such as 232 flooded the log between 13:19:17 and 13:53:10. These pings registered mostly on unresolved sites or the AP, Warri-Sapele Road and I H S SITE, IHS_WAR_035 cells. The first meaningful call came at 13:52:52 when 2349043502564 dialled 2347085869611, listed initially on Truecaller as “Emmanuel By” but later updated to “Skru Alaro” and suspected to be the Sunny Eru Motors driver handling the parcel, for 17 seconds from an unresolved location.

We gathered from the call log that at 16:08:17, Ogidi’s own line, 2349112326520, made one final outgoing call to the same Skru Alaro number, 2347085869611, lasting 23 seconds from an unresolved site. On the mother’s phone, outgoing traffic accelerated: a call to 2349055880483 (“Emma driver glo” on Truecaller) at 16:12:36 for 11 seconds, followed by a 34-second call to Desmond Ebiwoni (2347060417298) at 16:21:49. Two back-to-back calls to Skru Alaro (2347085869611) followed at 16:43:54 and 16:44:00, each lasting 13 seconds, with one connecting inside the Sunny Eru Motors site.

Fast forward to 17:06:34 and 17:06:38, 2349043502564 called Skru Alaro (2347085869611) for six and seven seconds respectively, one call originating from the Echiejile Austin Plot Warri site. Skru Alaro immediately rang back to Ogidi’s personal line at 17:07:13 for 23 seconds from the KM 1, Warri Sapele Road cell. Further short outgoing calls from the mother’s phone followed: to Emma driver glo (2349055880483) at 17:11:57 for 11 seconds from KM 1, Warri Sapele Road, and to Desmond Ebiwoni (2347060417298) at 17:20:59 for 34 seconds from NO.18, Johnson Duku Crescent.

The very last logged activity occurred at 17:41:44, 17:41:45, and 17:41:46 on the mother’s line, 2349043502564, three zero-duration connections from the number 32000 or blank entries, all registering inside the Sunny Eru Motors site.

SecretsReporters reports that the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu has ordered the immediate dismissal of ASP Nuhu Usman and other officers implicated in the extrajudicial killing of Mine Ogidi.

According to a statement by the Nigeria Police Force, the directive followed the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings conducted by the Force Disciplinary Committee and the Orderly Room Tribunal at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

However, the Force noted that the dismissals are subject to ratification by the Police Service Commission (PSC), in line with statutory requirements.
