25% Child Mortality
The under-five mortality rate varies by state in Nigeria. Data from the report shows that Ogun State, in Nigeria’s south-west, has the lowest under-five mortality with 30 deaths per 1,000 live births while Kebbi State, in the north-west, has the highest under-five mortality with 252 deaths per 1,000 live births. Due to the restrictive measures that followed, many Nigerians stated that they could not access basic food supply during the period of the lockdown. 52.1% Poverty Rate
National Bureau of Statistics’ recently published Nigerian Living Standards Survey indicates that 40.09 percent of Nigerian are poor. With a staggering population of 205 million people, over 80 million Nigerians live in poverty. Whereas the poverty rate in urban areas is only 18.04 percent, as much as 52.1 percent of rural dwellers are poor. The report also revealed that northern Nigeria had the most poverty headcount rate. 140 Killed

N32.04bn Debt
Togo, Niger, and Benin Republic did not pay their N32.04 billion bills for the electricity Nigeria supplied to them in 2019, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) said.
