YOU ARE A THIEF SO YOU CAN’T PROBE A THIEF: ANOTHER UK NEWSPAPER WRITES BUHARI

A British newspaper, Mail Online, on Sunday questioned President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption credentials ahead of his arrival in London for a world anti-corruption summit to be hosted by UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron.

The paper said “self-proclaimed ‘People’s President’”, Buhari, may be waging a war against corruption his critics have described as a witch hunt.

It wrote that Buhari sends his daughter to a £26,000-a-year English school and that in April, the opposition PDP party unearthed a ticket stub showing Hanan, 16, had flown first-class from London to Nigeria, despite her father’s ban on officials using premium travel.

The report added Buhari had spent £150,000 on educating his daughter Zahra, a Surrey University student.
The paper also questioned Buhari’s failure to give a full account of his worth, and pointed out his partial admission of more than £1million in the bank, five houses and two plots of land.

Mail Online added: “The presence of Nigeria’s president at David Cameron’s anti-corruption summit this week may surprise many in his nation – which receives vast amount of UK aid.

“Self-proclaimed ‘People’s President’ Muhammadu Buhari began a war on corruption after taking power last year, but critics allege it is a political witch-hunt.

“The Government is giving nearly £250 million in the coming year to oil-rich Nigeria..
“Supporters say 49 arrests of members of the previous regime show the anti-corruption war is genuine, but opponents say it is politically driven.

“Nigeria has the highest-paid government officials in the world but is one of the largest beneficiaries of UK foreign aid.
“The president of its senate, Bukola Saraki, is due to face trial on corruption charges after it emerged he has a £6million London property in his wife’s name.

  3. Dale Ademola Olabode Onifade

My name is Dale Ademola Olabode Onifade. I will not profess to be the most in touch with my country Nigeria, due to the society I grew up in, which might I add is East London in England, but I am a very proud Nigerian and proud of my country and keep up to date with news and information about the Great Nation of Nigeria.

The article is a great piece of journalism, but please, and I know the media is flawed in its subjective opinions, if you are going to write an article about President Muhammadu Buhari’s corruption, then endeavor to write about the corruption of other President’s and Prime Ministers, who will be in attendance. To single out the President of one nation believe it or not has a negative impact on that very nation. If you cannot release articles on the President’s and Prime Ministers of which the world very much knows are embroiled in corruption then please do not single out one man and let all of the President’s and Prime Minister’s come together for the greater good of the world and find solution’s. There is no sense in such article’s that spread negative reputations in people’s minds about a President and, unfortunately, the people that he rules over. To continue to do so make brings undertones of an agenda to take focus away from a particular (hosting) nation’s corruption by focusing on the corruption of another. What’s even more Ludacris is the fact that the accusations are being partly based on the school that the President’s daughter attends, when if you look into the family affairs of most men/women in positions of power around world and see where their children attend school, you will find that the argument becomes completely baseless. I bring you back to the place where I mentioned I grew up and educate you to my first exposure of corruption I received from English people (well established English people for that matter) in the markets, streets and businesses of East London. I will leave you with two very powerful quote’s that embody the point I am making. “When a man points a finger at someone else, he should remember that four of his fingers are pointing at himself” (Louis Nizer), and “Don’t focus on the spec in your brothers eye while ignoring the log in your own eye” (Jesus Christ). Thank you once again for the great piece of journalism, which allowed me to have a voice for the great nation of Nigeria and remind you that the seeds of corruption which have seemingly ravished Nigeria’s government and the government’s of other great African nation’s, were once planted there by foreigners who came in the name of peace and commerce. Thank you and NIGERIA WILL RISE AGAIN!!!!! Dale Ademola Olabode Onifade.

    • Thank u my brother. Good talk You see, the west is slanderous and seldom has anything positve to say about Nigeria, Africa.Even when it is glaring in their faces.

    • Thank you very much Mr Dale Ademola,am sure is a sponsored article by the enemies of Nigeria and Nigerians. They will not succeed by GOD’S Grace.

  4. THis is freedom of expression taken too far What justifies MailOnline call president Muhammadu Buhari a thief. This is gutter journalism taken too far. Suing this trashy Online medium for defamation would be appropriate. If the president wishes to send his daughter to the most expensive university in the world, with his legitimately earned resources it is nobody’s fucking business. The ban on public officials from flying premium, It does not ban the family members of these officials to do whatever they choose to do with their legitimately earned resources. Where does junk tabloid MailOnline get the information from, that th president didn’t give full account of his worth?

This is a presidentg that has save nigeria a trillion Naira since he took over the mantle of leadership, throught the Treasury Single Account system; THis shows that at least for the past 16 PDP years alone it is save to say the vountry has been loosing a minimum of a trillion Naira a year(16 trillion Naira!!!! looted).Bank Verification Number(BVN) has proberbly saved also just as much. Here come a man with the most patriotic and genuin intentions for his country despite the present temporary hardship. What do we see? The hypocritical western media in connaivance with the very corrupt elemnts that are fighting back, forman alliance to slander and defame. SHAME OM MAILONLINE on this one-bloodsuckers .

    • Don’t give a hoot to this hatchet journalism, Philips, it is simply corruption fighting back. What do you think the billions of our stolen money hidden in Britain by Diezani and her fellow crooks is there for?

  5. Nuraddeen Abdullahi

This media is telling lies so you people knows who is Buhari and only God can judge so you should continue with your rumour

  6. The rank and file of the establishment is corrupt to the core including UK receiving the ill gotten money, and the prim minister’s institutions making it possible for the criminals both are equally criminals, the given and the receiver of stolen money

  7. This is IBO/IGBO (Biafra) electronic news website, they will do anything to keep on to discredit Buhari regardless of how much is trying to rectify the economy which has been damaged by jonathan and his Igbos cronies due to the way they looted Nigeria Central Bank and is savings reserve. May God help Nigeria.

  8. Where was this allegation hiding before the election or could it be that they forgot to air it On Nigerian independent Television. These are NFAs and enemies of Nigeria. Where are they secret reporters if they are for real. Mtsss

  9. IBRAHIM BABA ATTA

We elected Buhari as our president and we are happy with all steps he has taken so far. You and your Prime Minister are complete racist. Your country is a home to our stolen commonwealth, why not return our wealth back to our country and see what PMB will do with it.

  11. Ibrahim Ismaila

Yes,yes,he is not clean that is obvious, but he is far better. It is simply, when he leaves in 2019 his cabinet can be probed every single one of them, that has been Nigerian politics since Jonathan came on board. You westerns should keep, away from African politics, you brew nothing but trouble and confusion.God, I hate you guys.

  12. Let be honest things are not going well in Nigeria. We buy pure water at the rate of 140 while Garry is now 600 a painter which is to bad.

  13. Ramadan Hassan ALIYU
