The last has not been heard of the three months suspension handed down to two members of the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Prince Erijo Johnson and Mrs Pat Ajudua by the house led by Mr Monday Igbuya on Tuesday.
Exclusive information sourced by Secrets Reporters from some high profile members of the house revealed that the move to suspend the two members was done quickly to avert an impending loom that would have seen the sword of Damocles dangled on the Speaker’s head.
According to our sources, Erijo decided to team up with some members of the house to impeach Igbuya for no obvious reason. The impeachment process was not just planned in their homes, but also moved to the Assembly complex where they held sinister meetings instead of coming for legislative business that Deltans pay them for.
Sensing that the impeachment was about to be moved on Tuesday, Igbuya quickly handed him a suspension for insubordination which is not defined.
On Pat Ajudua who is the Majority Chief Whip, she did not only support the move to impeach the Speaker, but also decided to run her mouth like a market woman, going about condemning the Speaker and other lawmakers.
Our ever reliable sources in the House revealed that after collecting all the estacodes for the trip to Georgia, USA, she refused to go; pocketed the money and went about condemning the trip and lawmakers who attended it as well as labelling them criminals.
Apart from her running down her co-lawmakers, she was among those who were plotting the impeachment of the Speaker.
