We want to use this opportunity to set the record straight by disclaiming the News reported by some bloggers about our Company Caldwell Atlantic Nigeria Limited. The bloggers in their report claimed;
- That our company Caldwell Atlantic Nigeria Limited was involved in a multiple contract scam facilitated by Lower Benue River Basin Development Authourity (LBRBDA)
- That Mrs Rachel Oshanisi of Kogi State University Anyigba is a Director of the Company and that she holds a top managerial position in the running of the company’s business and that she pocketed over N220m in a deal that money was paid twice by the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authourity (LBRBDA)
We restate, without equivocation, that the story, as told by the sponsors, is a tissue of lies promoted for selfish reasons whatsoever. Our Company Caldwell Atlantic Nigeria Limited has never been involved or has ever been indicted by any authority or any court of law to have been involved in any contract scam whatsoever.
Though we have worked with the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority (LBRBDA) in the past like we also have with some other private and public establishments as a registered Civil Engineering Company. But all our contracts with them and others have always been duly bided for and won by our company in accordance with the Bureau of Public Procurement Act of Nigeria (BPP).
There was never a time our company was paid twice for any job or colluded with any staff member of the Authourity to be involved in any contract scam whatsoever. We have built a good track record that precedes us in all our dealings with all our clients, so to say we are involved in a contract scam is just the illusion of the writer and should be disregard as it is just an attempt to pull down our tall brand.
We are also denying the allegation that Mrs Rachel Oshanisi of Kogi State University Anyigba is the same as Racheal Oshanisi listed as a director on our form CAC 02 and CAC 07 with Corporate Affair Commission (CAC). We can confirm that Mrs Rachael Oshanisi listed as our Director is not the same as Mrs Racheal Oshanisi of Kogi State University. The Racheal Oshanisi on the list of our Directors died about 5 years ago and has since been removed as a Director with the company. Our updated status report with the Corporate Affair Commission will show that the late Mrs Racheal Oshanisi has been removed as a Director from the company for more than 2 years ago.
It is important to note that it is not in our accustomed practice to receive or pay money meant for contract into a private account of any of our directors no matter how highly placed, not to talk of Mrs Rachel Oshanisi of Kogi State University who is not our shareholders.
With the freedom of Information Act 2020 (FOIA) we urge the promoters of the fake News to do their investigative journalism thoroughly by contacting the client; Lower Benue River Basin Development Authourity (LBRBDA) and Corporate Affair Commission for documentary evidence on their false claims.
In conclusion, we emphatically refute the allegations made by the bloggers and reaffirm Caldwell Atlantic’s unwavering dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in the execution of our duties.
