The practice of vested interest in the discharge of duties among political or public office holders and associates of political office holders leading to the continuous violation of the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is surreptitiously becoming a norm as investigations have revealed how the ruling All Progressive Congress awarded a contract to one of its members, Chuks Nwanodu.

Investigations by SecretReporters revealed that the APC-led government of former President Muhammadu Buhari, in 2020, through the Energy Commission of Nigeria, an agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology, awarded a contract worth N40,000,000 for the provision of all-in-one solar powered-street lights and solar powered boreholes in South East to Daloks Technoseve Com. Nig. Ltd, Edoz Konsult Ltd, Farafam Resources Ltd, Star-Point Investment Nig. Ltd, Toledo Eng. Ltd and Spatium Engineering Ltd.

It was discovered that one of the companies, Daloks Technoseve Com. Nig. Ltd is owned by Chuks Nwanodo, the APC loyalist. The company was registered in 2009 with registration number 841351 in Port Harcourt. The status of the company remains unknown.
