Exclusive: Nyesom Wike’s Ally, Alabo George Whose DG BCDA Purchase Luxurious Mansion Worth $878,659
Documents have exposed the purchase of a luxurious mansion by Dakorinama Alabo George, the Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA) and former commissioner of works in Rivers State, under the administration of Nyesom Wike as governor, worth $878,659.
The property is a single-family residence in Pine Mill Ranch Section 27, Fort Bend County. It sits on a 0.24-acre lot and has 5,048 square feet of living space, comprising five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property was built in 2013 and is owner-occupied.
The home has two floors, with 2,737 square feet on the first floor and 2,311 square feet on the second floor. The property also has an attached two-car garage measuring approximately 628 square feet.

Dakorinama Alabo George, also known as Dakorinama Alabo George-Kelly, is a Rivers State politician and technocrat whose political career is associated with former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, the current Federal Capital Territory Minister. Before his entry into the Rivers State cabinet, George worked at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
His political prominence grew under Wike, who appointed him Commissioner for Works in Rivers State. George was also among those who sought to succeed Wike as governor in the 2023 election cycle contesting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary in 2022, but lost to Siminalayi Fubara, who eventually emerged as Wike’s preferred successor.
George later remained a prominent figure in the political structure around Wike, including his continued role in Rivers politics during the fallout between Wike and Fubara.
He subsequently moved to the federal level after being appointed to head the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA). His political ambitions resurfaced when he resigned from the federal position to pursue the Rivers State governorship ticket under the All Progressives Congress (APC), after he believed that he had Wike’s backing.
However, the governorship bid did not materialise, as George eventually withdrew from the contest.
Beyond his political career, property records show George as the owner of a 5,048-square-foot, five-bedroom, three-bathroom house at 4307 Lone Creek Hill Ct, Katy, Texas 77494, in Fort Bend County. The property was built in 2013 and has an estimated market value of $878,659, with his ownership being about 11 years and nine months, indicating an acquisition around 2014.
The house is located in the Pine Mill Ranch area of Katy, a relatively affluent suburban community. The surrounding area’s median home value is $450,100, and the median household income is $146,105, meaning his property is valued at almost twice the reported area median.
The Code of Conduct requires civil servants to declare all their properties, assets, and liabilities, including those of unmarried children below 18 years. The declaration is to be made upon assumption of office, at the end of every four years, and at the end of the officer’s tenure.
The Constitution further provides that where an asset acquired after the declaration cannot be fairly attributed to income, a gift, or an approved loan, it is presumed to have been acquired in breach of the Code unless the contrary is proved.
The Code of Conduct Bureau also requires assets acquired outside Nigeria to be declared, with their value stated in the currency of the country where the property is located, and violation can lead to removal from office, disqualification from holding public office for up to 10 years, or seizure and forfeiture of the property to the state.
