EXCLUSIVE: GOV. OKOWA APPOINTS OCHONOGOR AS COMMISIONER FOR WATER RESOURCES, CHIKA OSSAI FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND GANAGANA FOR SPECIAL DUTIES

The Governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, has assigned portfolios to eight (8) appointed commissioners to work with him in his second tenure.

This is contained in a list exclusively obtained by SecretReporters on Tuesday in Asaba the state capital.

Those appointed who will be returning to the respective positions they held in the previous administration include Chief Patrick Ukah who is to continue as the Commissioner for Information, Barr. Peter Mrakpor as Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State, and Chief James Aguoye as Commissioner for Works.

Others are Chief Festus Ochonogor as Commissioner for Water Resources, Chief Chika Peter Ossai as Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, and Hon. Basil Ganagana as Commissioner for Special Duties.

Mrs Florence Alanta and Prof. Patrick Muoboghare were also appointed as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Commissioner for Higher Education respectively.

The governor also appointed five new Special Advisers and charged them to proffer advice and service that would spur the development of the state.
