Secret Reporters

There is currently unease at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission (DESOPADEC), as the Managing Director, Williams Makinde and some of his Executive Directors have been nabbed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

The intervention agency which is notorious for corrupt practices continued under Makinde, which has led to lots of petition from the Anti Corruption and Integrity Forum, Itse Sagay (SAN) and negative reports from various sections of the media.

Despite the secret nature of their disappearance to Abuja in the guise of going for business trip, Secret Reporters can report authoritatively that Makinde is currently sweating it out in the detention cell of the anti graft agency. This medium was told last week Wednesday when it paid a visit to some staff of the commission, that the MD and Commissioners letter for invitation were ready and will be grilled anytime soon.

The MD left Delta State on Sunday evening and went to Idiagbon House as the EFCC is called for questioning. Copies of negative media reports against the commission were used as questionnaire. He is expected to be back to his duty post this evening or tomorrow morning. The immediate past Executive Secretary, Kpogho will soon be invited, revealed a source.

A strong worded petition on the man behind the whole fraud in the commission, Bashorun Askia Ogieh who is the Executive Director, Finance and Administration (EDFA) will be sent to the commission by midweek of July, stated an anti corruption group to Secret Reporters.
