The Conference tagged  “New Media as the future of the fourth estate”, will hold February 7, 2018, in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, from 10 am – 4 pm.

The one-day conference which is one of the projects conceptualized for the new year by OPAN to improve quality of digital news content and build capacity amongst entrepreneurs in the new media genre, will be an interactive platform where all legitimate new media practitioners – publishers, bloggers, PR consultants and social media influencers will come together under one roof for the first time, to meet and greet and engage in discussions that seek to provide a blueprint on how to significantly boost standards and quality of media contents in line with best practices in the industry globally.

ALEDEH recalls that the conference will be coming few months after new executives were elected for OPAN which saw the emergence of the Publisher of THEWILL news, Austyn Ogannah as the President and  Mr Emmanuel Asiwe of Huhuonline as Vice President.

A statement issued by OPAN and sent to ALEDEH, says the Conference host will continue to chart and articulate the need for responsibility in content to practitioners as bearers and transmitters of news because we represent the future of the fourth estate.
