Secret Reporters
The Anti- corruption war of President Muhammadu Buhari continues to be frustrated by a cabal of corrupt Government officials in National Oil Spill Detection & Response Agency (NOSDRA) who are currently being investigated by the office of the Deputy Inspector General of Police FCIID Abuja on the directives of the National Security Adviser to the President.
Our Reporters had earlier reported how the Director-General of NOSDRA, Sir Peter Idabor and a Deputy Director Damage Assessment NOSDRA, Mr. Akindele .B Olubunmi had conspired with officials of Sterling Oil Exploration and Energy Production Company (SEEPCO) to divert over N3 billion naira due to Federal Government of Nigeria.
Recollect that, on June 9, 2016, we reported how Peter Idabor and Akindele Olubunmi were arrested and detained in Force Criminal Investigative Department Area 10 Abuja over allegations of fraud of over N3 billion Naira against them.
Investigation by our eagle eyed reporters reveals that, the investigations by the Investigative Police Officer (IPO), CSP Makiluso Umaro of X-Squad FCIID Area 10 Abuja has been concluded and report forwarded to DIG FCIID Abuja.
Findings shows that, the DIG FCIID, has since directed the report with case file to CP Legal Force Headquarters for advice and further action(s), While awaiting the legal advice from CP Legal.
Reliable sources within the Police force reveals that NOSDRA Officials led by Peter Idabor and SEEPCO officials led by Mr. Deparke Barriot were highly indicted in the Police report to have defrauded the Federal Government several billions of naira and have offered bribe amounting to several millions of Naira to some cabals of some corrupt senior police officers within the Force Headquarters Abuja to upturn and bury the report of CSP Makiluso Umaro & team.
We gathered that, there is serious tension within NOSDRA and SEEPCO officials over their indictment in the police report which may land them in prison. We also gathered that the life of the dogged and fearless whistle blower, Engr. Friday Ani who exposed the fraud perpetrated by the suspects is in serious danger and on the top list of those to be assassinated by the big men suspects. As at the time of going to the press, efforts by our reporters to get the position of the case from reliable sources within the legal department of the Force Headquarters did not yield positive results.
I wonder what President Buhari Muhammadu APC led Federal Government is still waiting for before these alleged looters, DG NOSDRA, Sir Peter Idabor and his accomplice, Akindele B. Olubunmi are sacked from office. They are civil servants who must be suspended from office pending the outcome of the criminal case against them. Corruption has no place in this current administration.
