YOU ARE A BLOODY LIAR; NOBODY WANTED TO ASSASINATE YOU- POLICE TELLS DELTA STATE SPEAKER

The Delta State Police Command has come out in clear terms that the allegation being peddled by the Delta State Speaker, Mr. Victor Ochei and his associates on attempt to assassinate him, as a result of explosion that happened during a the Speaker’s meeting is nothing but a fat lie.

“It was definitely not an assassination plot. What happened at Obomkpa was that the Speaker came for a political rally there and a man was employed to fire a traditional ceremonial canon to add color to the event. In the process of firing the canon, he was careless and the shot mistakenly hit two people.

The firing, which can be likened to stray shots, mistakenly hit two people who are presently hospitalized. The Speaker was never deliberately targeted.” Mr. Lucky Uyabeme, the Police Public Relations Officer.
The Police spokesman went further saying that, “You know politicians are liars. Going by the account from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area, the canon shooter who has since been arrested by the police was careless in the handling of the canon. The canon did result in the injury of two persons who are presently hospitalized. Nobody is planning to kill the speaker.”
The Speaker who is desperately gunning to become the next governor of Delta State was having a meeting where he intended to launch another campaign strategy when the explosion occurred at Obomkpa, Aniocha North local government area of Delta State.

The Speaker has been enmeshed in many corruption scandals, resulting in billions of naira. He has wasted Delta State millions of Naira to embark on a wasteful legislative training in California as well as taking billions for the IPP project in Oghara without taking a sand to the site.
