As the sword of Damocles dangles on the head of some local government Chairmen in Delta State following directive by the State House of Assembly that they must submit their financial records or risk suspension, Secrets Reporters has learnt that some of the council boss are running helter skelter to save their job especially those who looted their treasury.
One of those who we can report authoritatively that has stolen the money meant for the development of her council is Mrs Benedicta Osakuni Ndudi of Ukwuani local government area and has been going around seeking for a soft landing.
According to a source, Benedicta has already approached the Deputy Speaker, Mr Osanebi Friday representing Ndokwa East with the sum of N20 million to help her scale through the financial screening by the house.
Whether Osanebi, who is known to also milk treasury and a promise and failed lawmaker took the alleged sum is still unknown as at press time.
Ironically, Benedicta phone with ringtone of “ I go chop the money”, by Nigeria singer, Davido was never answered after ringing four times, to enable this newspaper hear her side of the story.
