As the Medical/Health workers strikes bite harder on the citizens of Jos and environs, the management Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) which has being on strike for weeks has resorted to employing quack Nurses and Medical Laboratory Scientist to render medical services to patients, our source in the hospital has told us.
According to our source, the Medical staff went on strike following the non availability of hand gloves to treat patients and carry out medical tests, especially with the outbreak of Ebola virus and even at a period when there was threat of lasser fever. Other agitations include the non promotion of staff from level 13 to level 14 and from level 14 to level 15 for over 10 years.
The hospital which used to be a beehive of activities has become a grave yard, as patients have been relocated to private and other government hospitals.
