A cold war is brewing between the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio and his successor in office, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.

Recollect that there were media reports some weeks ago on how the younger brother to the former Governor slapped the then governor-elect over issues of appointment into the state Executive Council, which the Akpabios were said to demand for sensitive slots in the administration.

In sending a clear message to the people of the State who sees him as Akpabio’s dummy, the multi million naira fuel station of Prince Akpabio opposite Uruan street by Nwaniba Road in Uyo,Akwa Ibom State has been demolished on the orders of Udom Emmanuel by the Uyo Capital City Development Authority.(UCCDA).

More interesting episode awaits Akwa Ibomites as the Akpabio and Udom’s rift deepens.
