…As National President describe the screening as unconstitutional

Ahead of the Saturday election for the National Association of Nigerians Students (NANS)/Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Delta Axis, information available to us is that the winners have been decided already, only waiting to be announced. A source who confided in us stated that they were invited to the State Security Service (SSS) in Asaba under the pretense that they were going to be advised, only for them to be threatened that they should not oppose the SSS should they screen some candidates out.
The brain behind the disqualification of some students, one of whom is John Aderogba, contesting for the NANS/JCC President is one Comrade Osadebey who is over 40 years, but has refused to leave student unionism. He calls himself ‘NANS pensioner’, while boasting that he will decide who becomes the next President of NANS in Delta Axis. We also gathered that he was a former NANS national Vice President, while studying in Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) but only finished with a National Diploma Degree (ND) till date. He was sponsored to South Africa in 2005 by former governor James Ibori, but ran back to the country after a failed attempt to be successful.
The Osadebey we gathered is in connivance with Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan Special Adviser on Student Matters, Comrade Vwegba, Ezekiel Okoh Tega, and Comr Ebillade in imposing all the candidates. One of the reasons for disqualification according to our numerous sources is that the candidate they don’t want is a final year student. Our check on the NANS constitution however counters the claim, as it allows all students in the higher institution to vie for NANS position irrespective of the level you are. The current outgoing Secretary is currently undergoing his National Youth Service Corps, while still leading the union.
The Local organizing committee, Ossai Ovie Success and Otete Solomon we have on good authority has sent threat messages and calls to the certain John Aderogba not to come near the convention as he will be dealt with ruthless, warning him to beware or take whatever happens to him on that day.
The Student, John Aderogba who we gathered has been disqualified is noted to be an independent minded and will not be willing to compromise or allow himself to be controlled. While speaking with Elombah.com, the outgoing President of NANS/JCC, Delta Axis, Prince Koyoyo stated that he has no hand in anyone disqualification, as he is a father to all the contestants.
The National President of the Association, Yinka Gbadebo has however dismissed such disqualification as illegal, since it negates the NANS constitution. Speaking on phone to Elombah.com, he promised to quash the election, if the right thing is not done. He frowned at the SSS disqualifying candidates, as he opined that they have no such right and power to do so. “We only invite the SSS to help us investigate those who are cultists and those who are not real students, not to disqualify. They have no such power”, he stated.
Those to be imposed on Saturday election are Solomon Ogoro for NANS/JCC Chairman, Ogbe Collins for NANS/JCC secretary, Adesina Olarinwaju for NANS/JCC PRO, Abasa Stunna Uloho Wayne for NANS/JCC demobilization
