But for the timely intervention of persons seated close to him, former Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission (DESOPADEC), Mr Amos Itiwhe would have passed to glory today.

Itiwhe who was seated at the Unity Hall in Delta State Government House we gathered was lost in thought as the swearing in of the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, Mr Chiedu Ebie was going on. In the midst of the thoughts, sources disclosed that his eyes began to turn white and he slumped.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital by government officials where he’s still receiving treatment.

We gathered that Itiwhe is currently in debt after leaving office as DESOPADEC Commissioner to contest for House of Representatives against Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s advice, which he lost woefully. He came back later in Nicodemus manner to beg for re-appointment and was given Senior Special Assistant (SSA).

“It’s frustration and being broke that made Itiwhe to faint today, stated one of our sources. He’s thinking of his life after seeing Ebie as SSG and may be wondering if he can get any good position to enable him get money and recover from his financial crisis”.
