Two lecturers, in persons of Salihu Kwairanga, of the Federal University of Technology, Yola, management technology (faculty member), and Muhammad Sani Isyaka, Doctor of Philosophy, Federal University of Kashere (since 2012 till date) partnered to create a company named MULTIBASE INVESTMENT LIMITED.
As teachers who train the younger generation how to behold the rule of laws of the country, and protect these laws whether or not the authorities are watching it was rather discovered, according to research found on govspend, that this company have been used by these lecturers to siphon government contracts to their personal company.

On the February 11,2022: National productivity centre paid the sum of 12,068,872.20 to MULTIBASE INVESTMENT LIMITED as payment for 40% of the job sum fee for lot go4:purchase of teaching/learning aid and equipment.

On March 23, 2022: National commission for refugees paid the sum of 12,807,602.46 to MULTIBASE INVESTMENT LIMITED as payment for supply of food items to cushion the effect of COVID-19 in selected areas.
On May 7,2022: Federal ministry of health paid the sum of 9,251,786.04 to MULTIBASE INVESTMENT LIMITED as payment for the procurement of office equipment.
On June 17, 2022: Energy commission of Nigeria paid the sum of 8,351,280.00 to MULTIBASE INVESTMENT LIMITED as payment for consultancy services for energy lecture series on nep & nemp 2022
On march 29,2021: National open university paid the sum of 6,097,674.42 to MULTIBASE INVEST LIMITED as payment for the construction of auditorium block for community study centre in dawakin kudu Iga Kano state.
On August 16,2022: Federal polytechnic kaltungo, kaltungo, Gombe state paid the sum of 7,699,628.85 to MULTIBASE INVEST LIMITED as payment for mobilization for drainage and landscaping to multibus
On September 16,2022: Federal polytechnic kaltungo, kaltungo, Gombe state paid the sum of 11,118,905.68 to MULTIBASE INVEST LIMITED as payment for being additional 30% for drainage mobilization
