EXCLUSIVE: FMR GOV. UDUAGHAN MEETS OKOWA OVER PLANS TO COME BACK TO PDP AFTER RETURNING CAR GIVEN TO HIM FOR LACK OF BULLET PROOF

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State will be losing one of its chieftain in the person of former Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), SecretReporters can authoritatively report.

Our insider sources within the camps of the Delta State Governor, Mr Ifeanyi Okowa and Uduaghan, confided in us that the former governor paid a visit to his successor in the Government House.

According to knowledgeable sources, Uduaghan’s major reason for going to meet the governor was to personally complain about Okowa’s refusal to pay him his entitlement which is due to him by law, since he left office on May 29th 2015. In accordance with the crude pension laws for governors of the state which is yet to be repealed, Uduaghan is entitled to a mansion either in Abuja or Lagos and another one in Delta State, with new vehicles given to him every four years. Since his departure from government, Mr Okowa has not given him any of such or paid him his salaries.

We gathered that Uduaghan complained bitterly about the withholding of his benefits which the governor promised to make happen within a short time. They also discussed the possibility of the former governor coming back to PDP, following pressure from their godfather, James Ibori, which was given serious consideration.

A 2020 model Lexus 570 which cost less than N45 million we learned, was earlier given to Uduaghan by the Okowa led government but was rejected for not being a bulletproof vehicle. Ironically, a staggering sum of N370 million was budgeted for the office of the former governors and their deputies in the 2020 budget before it was reduced to N215 million during the COVID-19 revised budget. Only James Ibori, Benjamin Elue, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Amos Utuama and Felix Ibru’s deputy are the beneficiaries of such slush sum.
