How Senator Peter Nwaoboshi Used Federal Might To Hijack Contracts Worth Over N170 Million

A member of the 9th Senate assembly, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, has been found to have violated the Code of Conduct Bureau for public officers, which strongly prevents a government official from owning or running a private company while being employed as a full staff.
Findings show that Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, who was a member of the 9th Senate representing the people of Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, was involved in contract racketeering while in office to the sum of ₦176,990,618.84.
It was discovered that Peter Nwaoboshi was among the key management personnel of Monnex Global Resources Nigeria Limited, a company he ran while also in office, with which he used to obtain contracts from government agencies to the sum of ₦176,990,618.84.
It was revealed that on January 22, 2021, Monnex Global Resources Nigeria Limited was paid the sum of ₦66,030,590.33 for rehabilitating a strategic economic road in Badara, Gombe State, by the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing.
It was also unearthed that on February 18, 2021, Monnex Global Resources Nigeria Limited was paid the sum of ₦43,498,124.15 for the second batch of security gadgets for anti-robbery and anti-kidnapping in Lagos State.
Finally, SecretsReporters also found out that on January 22, 2021, Monnex Global Resources Nigeria Limited was paid the sum of ₦67,461,904.36 for the construction of five deep well boreholes in Ekwuoma Abavo Ika, South LGA Delta state.
It was discovered that the company Monnex Global Resources Nigeria Limited was registered in Abuja, with registration number 790912, on December 11, 2008. It is located in Asokoro, Abuja.
The company has four key directors/management personnel, including Peter Nwaoboshi, a Senator representing the Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
