Secret Reporters

Former governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, popularly called Gandollar, following a leaked video where he was captured hiding dollars inside his clothes, has again been found complicit in contracts racketeering as investigations have revealed how he enriched cronies using Kano state tax payers’ money, thereby violating the Code of Conduct Bureau for public officers involved in procurement.

The Code of Conduct Bureau for officers involved in procurement prevent such an officer from awarding contract to a contractor if such contract will incur a certain kind of interest to them or if they are in a way or the other related to the contractor in any form.

SecretReporters in its investigations gathered that Ganduje, using one of the ministries, awarded a contract to his political ally, Abdullahi Abbas.

Abdullahi Abbas is the chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano state, and it is the party of the former governor of the state.
