Sources reveal that the lawmaker turned lawbreaker known to be a tribal fanatic do not only attend to individuals having the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) but also practices a high level of discrimination as it is alleged that he does not also grant audience to Akwa Ibomites who are not from Itu local government. 

More findings revealed that KufreAbasi who has only succeeded in creating strong division between indigenes of the state, in what could be termed as an evidence of having little or no regard for the younger generation does not also grant audience to students and children as he claims they are not up to the age of suffrage nor own a Permanent Voters Card (PVC) hence do not merit his time and attention.

A source who classified the actions of the lawmaker as a subtle form of xenophobia stated that “This is an irrational, irresponsible and uncivil decision that does not deserve the support of any right-thinking person. If access to the government were to be dependent based on who has PVC, I wonder where we would have been! The lawmaker has goofed”

It is believed in many quarters that the lawmaker may be deliberately seeking out those from Itu local government area who has Permanent Voters Card (PVC) in a bid to grant them favors as a form of vote-buying ahead of his 2023 electoral ambition in the state.
