Like the biblical oil that flows from the head down to the garment, corruption seems to have flowed from public office holders at the helm of affairs in Imo State and has begun infecting civil servants who are supposed to be transparent and honest being the workforce of the nation.

A mail sent to SecretReporters by an Imo State social crusader, Samuelson reveals that Mr Ethelbert Ojiaku, popularly known as Ethel, an Accountant with the Imo State Accountant Generals Office, Owerri has proven to be commissioned as an disciple of corruption apparently with a mandate to embezzle and loot using every artillery at his disposal until his gluttonous thirst is satisfied.

It was gathered that the Imo born accountant who earns only about N230,000 (Two Hundred and Thirty Thousand Naira) monthly as salary allegedly lives in a palatial mansion in Umuguma Community in Owerri West Local government estimated to worth over N50,000,000 (Fifty Million Naira) with several exotic cars parked at his garage bearing his name.

The accountant also allegedly owns Don-Adaeze Solutions Enterprises Limited but like a cunning fox fronts his wife as the owner owing to the fact that it is against the law to own a company while still a civil servant.

According to the mail, Mr Ethel who is still under the payroll of the Imo State government, allegedly controls a multi-billion Naira business empire, Estate and other properties located in choice areas in the state valued at over N12,000,000,000 (Twelve Billion Naira).

It was alleged that Ethel embezzles funds from the Accountant General’s Office and sinks it into the company which he runs by proxy in other to avoid questions by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as to how a civil servant earning about N230,000 (Two Hundred and Thirty Thousand Naira) monthly amassed such stupendous wealth.

Sources close to the office of the state Accountant General also disclosed that Mr Ethelbert Ojiaku is allegedly the leader of the Cabal behind salary racketeering in Imo State which according to them is seemingly part of the reason why workers and especially pensioners are being owed salaries in the state.
