Many who know him call him “Unbreak” but If you call him an unbreakable thief who hides under the guise of a political leader, you might as well be correct because Dafe Chukwudi from Obiaruku has left so many in awe after the queen-like burial he gave his late mother, Mrs Betty Melame Dafe estimated to have cost more than N60million with many questions begging to be answered on the source of wealth of the one-time Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and someone that has barely spent one year in office as the Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area in Delta State.

Information reaching SecretReporters reveals that the local government chairman, Mr Chukwudi who assumed office on the 8thof January 2018, allegedly became wealthy overnight as he used a chartered helicopter to fly his mother`s casket into the funeral ground in Obiaruku all the way from Warri with two stages for the ceremony erected like that of a grand concert, one in Obiaruku Grammar School and another in his compound.

In a clear display of political wealth allegedly gotten from siphoning public funds, the chairman apart from the hired helicopter also acquired the services of a flamboyant chariot seen as exhibited in Roman Empire in conveying his mother`s casket to his compound. As if that was not enough, he further invited top Nigerian artists in the likes of Morroco, Sammie Akposo and Harrysong to entertain his guests without considering the cost of them all.

Furthermore, Dafe Chukwudi`s exotic burial ceremony for his late mother has aroused curiosity among the indigenes of Obiaruku as questions are beginning to fly like wildfire as to how he is able to raise such exorbitant amount less than a year he assumed office apart from his days as an SSA judging by the fact that a local government chairman earns about N255,200 monthly, roughly amounting to about 3 million Naira annually, which is in no way close to the money he lavished for the burial ceremony.
