It has become crystal clear that most individuals holding public offices are a total misfit and a bunch of round pegs in a square hole having no business leading the Nigerian citizens.
Mr Tony Okowa who is the Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission and a younger brother to the incumbent governor of Delta state, Ifeanyi Okowa is no doubt the perfect representation of a round peg in a square hole who clearly has become intoxicated with alleged looting, diversion of funds meant for the development of sporting facilities and activities in the state into his personal accounts with such impunity that can only be exercised by a miscreant with executive backings.
Our sources in Asaba revealed to us that after this online news medium in its previous publication exposed the renovation of a mansion by Tony Okowa using embezzled state`s funds, the Asset Management Commission of Nigeria (AMCON) immediately swung into action and seized the property not without charging him before a Federal High Court sitting in Asaba for charges yet to be known by SecretReporters in November 28th.
However, we gathered that fully aware that he has been exposed with the markings on the property by AMCON showing that the property has been seized, Tony Okowa out of fear that the action would tarnish his public image and present him to the world as a chronic debtor directed his boys to immediately wipe off the markings on the property in a bid to sway Deltans into believing that he has been found innocent of all charges against him but not without our eagle eyed correspondent getting the pictures of the marked properties.
It will be recalled that Mr Tony who’s termed an executive rogue by critics was in the news early June for slapping and assaulting the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Festus Agas for not treating his file as urgent earning him the undisputed title as the commissioner for dirty slap, which was exclusively reported by SecretReporters.
