In every society, security and discipline are interwoven, no wonder the credibility of many countries especially their security system is based on the level of discipline exhibited by its personnel. In Nigeria today, issues bothering on security seems to be different as many high ranking officers saddled with such responsibilities are not living up to expectations. Information reaching our news desk has it that CSP Tope Fasugba DPO ‘A’ Division Asaba has turned into a demi-god without following standard operating procedures and no human sympathy

A reliable source within the Division disclosed to SecretReporters that CSP Fasugba has been using the patrol teams in his command to extort money from innocent citizens, on daily basis request for returns from them. To further display his heartlessness, it was alleged that after a member of the patrol team was run over by a tricycle in a bid to forcefully extort money from the driver which will be used to settle their ‘oga’, Fasugba never bothered to visit nor call to know how he was doing, instead he blamed the poor corporal for putting himself in harm way. In ‘A’ division CSP Fasugba is believed to be the Alpha and Omega, the boss himself who does not listen to anybody, not even senior officers but listens to his moles which he planted in every unit of the division.

Also, it is alleged that that Fasugba’s orderly.  Sergeant Saturday, who was yet to report to work officially since his transfer to `A` Division Asaba from Oghara division had his name included in the list for Osun State election which was sent to Force Headquarters in Abuja, even when a previous list containing names of selected officers was already out.

Further findings by SecretReporters also revealed gross indiscipline and misconduct by some officers in the division including one Ngozi Onadeko, who has been aiding and abetting Fasugba and some officers who severally have been warned and tried in orderly room for failure to report to their transferred zones. Fasugba according to sources has been transferred to FSARS but has since refused to proceed on the transfer.

In a bid to maintain his circle, we also learnt that when the Inspector Admin also in `A` division Asaba was transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (CID,) CSP fasugba in his usual tradition of flouting orders refused to release him as the Inspector is alleged to be his arrowhead and close ally, rather than follow orders, he proceeded to report the female Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) who ordered the transfer.
