December 21th, 2017 was a memorable day in Ogun State as the Ogun state government launched its MITROS rice, her own version of the LAKE rice. Secret Reporters reliable sources captured several dignitaries from across the country who graced the occasion. Among whom were, the CBN Governor Mr Godwin Emefiele, Kebbi State Governor Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu and other dignitaries who were present to launch the rice project.

At the event, Governor Ibikunle Amosun revealed that the rice had different varieties and they were all planted within the state by the state government. Part of the rice farm was located in Sawonjo in the Ogun West Senatorial district of the state. The governor further revealed that the state government has harvested and processed a total of 110,000 bags of rice translating to 183 trucks of rice at 600 bags per trailer.

It was however shocking when our source revealed facts about the lies and deceit involved in the said MITROS rice right from the venue of the launch. It was revealed that no rice of such quantity was planted in any part of the state and none of the rice mills displayed during the launch were functional. The little ones displayed by Amosun are the ones he bought from different sellers across all the markets in the state, then after, was SAND FILLED IN SACKS AND DISPLAYED AS RICE to deceive the CBN into believing that the N4bn agriculture loan has been put into massive rice production. The governor knows there is no rice farm to take the CBN governor to and the total number of bags of rice to be displayed isn’t up to 7,500 which won’t reflect rice production of N4bn. That’s why the fake rice pyramid had to be created to reflect the acclaimed 110,000 bags of rice displayed during the launch which will make the governor access the second batch of the loan. That was why the commissioner for agriculture recently revealed that the sum of N4bn was used to plant the recently launched MITROS rice

Further information gathered by Secret Reporters  revealed that the pyramid of rice displayed to show 110,000 bags of rice actually housed not more than 2,500 bags of rice.  Furthermore, various insider sources then backed this information with detailed pictures of how the governor, Ibikunle Amosun had deceived the CBN governor and others that graced the occasion.

Sources disclosed that Amosun was after the second batch of CBN agricultural loan after the first batch of N4bn has been accessed and used in planting the so called MITROS rice. The governor’s inability to show the CBN governor the rice farm or video of processing of the 110,000 bags led to the construction of the pyramid with planks and rice arranged on it.

Secret Reporters further gathered that when the governor became aware that he still doesn’t have enough bags of rice to fill the wooden pyramid, he then decided to fill empty sacks with sand just to deceive the CBN and other dignitaries at the launch.
